Another year, another trip… a really big trip.
What a great senior year it has been so far! I have gotten to make so many memories with my friends that will last a lifetime. What better way to keep that up than with a trip to Greece?!
A week in Greece with my friends- touring the cities, on a cruise, sightseeing, catching sunsets, shopping, trying new foods- all while we make memories to last a lifetime. What is there not to love about that?
Over the course of twelve days we will visit 9 different cities/islands and see countless iconic historical sites. You get a glimpse of some of the sights we will be seeing from the list below:
- Athens
- Olympia
- Delphi
- Kalambaka
- Mykonos
- Kusadasi
- Patmos
- Crete
- Corinth
Our itinerary initially included a visit Santorini however, the island had other plans. Since it is situated on an active volcano, there have been frequent minor tremors and quakes recently. For this reason, our cruise line decided to skip the island and replace it with Crete (largest island in Greece). It definitely would have been so awesome to see but, Crete is SO beautiful! The island is known for its picturesque landscapes, beaches, and crystal blue water
We do not have long in each destination so you can expect a pretty packed schedule. Although, that also more photos and content.
As you can probably imagine it will be a long travel day to Athens. We will be leaving Friday afternoon and flying to Athens with a layover in Istanbul. The flight from ATL is 10 hours and 2 hours from Istanbul to Athens.
I think this might be the most exited I have been for a trip in a while… maybe ever. The memories made on this trip will be priceless and well worth documenting. The plan is to update the blog daily with what we did along with a few pictures. Blogging the Robertson family out West trip proved to be the best way to update family at home, while recording our memories at the same time.
I hope you all enjoy this trip as much as we do! Let’s go to Greece!!
